Uncovered Doorway

While continuing our demolition of the Parlor Room, we discovered the kitchen's original doorway.


We'll probably use this original doorway and fill in the "old" one.

    Interesting! I think that will be nicer than that little "side" door! I wonder why it was ever changed? Hmm...

      I have no idea why they'd ever switch the doorways like that. But, I think we've decided to go ahead and open up BOTH of them... it will provide for some much needed air circulation through the kitchen, and it'll save the trouble of trying to "patch" one of them up to match the walls. That would be tough!
