Dirty Fun

The boys have been having so much fun playing in a pile of dirt. They sure do find the best ways to entertain themselves!

Spring is in the Air

One of our hens appears to be going broody. Oldest daughter discovered her hiding in a dark corner of the horse barn. Hopefully it's not too cold and she successfully hatches some chicks. She's setting on about 10 eggs.

More Weekend Work

Handy Husband is making great progress on the torn down chicken barn. The clean-up is going great and we'll be able to use this pasture before we know it.

Little Snow

After having some wonderful spring weather, we had a reminder that winter is not quite over yet. We didn't get much snow, but it was enough to make the boys happy.

Weekend Work

Along with being a dairy farm in the past, our Twelve Acres also served as a chicken farm in the late 70s.
One of the two houses was removed and cleaned up by a previous owner, and the remaining house is still in need of cleaning up. It's a big job, but we work on it during the weekends, and have found the work goes much faster with a little help from a borrowed Kubota.

The big boys love their new little brother. They're constantly wanting to hold him and can't wait till they can start teaching him fun boy stuff.

Baby W is 2 Months Old!

Wow! I can't believe he's 2 months old already! Time is flying, and this little guy isn't wasting any time growing up. He's up to 16 pounds now, and is getting so big and strong. He holds his head steady and tries "jumping" with his legs when we hold him. He is such a sweet baby and rarely ever cries.

Ride at Sunset

With the absolutely gorgeous weather we've been having lately, Oldest Daughter took the opportunity to work with Kayla.

 

Kayla wasn't too sure about trotting under saddle (this was our first time to do this), and gave Oldest Daughter a little attitude, but she soon settled down and behaved herself.

Pasture Pick-Up

We took advantage of some beautiful, spring-like temperatures this past week by picking up some trash in the horse's pasture. The old owners had left so much junk and trash all over the property, that it seems like a never-ending job.

Baby W is 6 Weeks Old!

Our sweet Baby W is six weeks old already! I can't believe how fast he's growing. At his checkup this week, we found out he now weighs 14 pounds, 5 ounces, and is almost 24 inches long!

 

He is so precious and won the hearts of the midwives with all his smiles and sweet talk.

Handy Husband was in the right place at the right time and scored these totally amazing closet organizing systems for an unbeatable price. There are 27 boxes in all of various closet components. What a deal! I can't wait to get to work finishing up the insides of the girls' bedroom closets, and there is plenty here for us to do our future closet remodel, as well as the boys' too!
