Spring Soaking

We've had a very wet spring this year. In fact, I've only had to water the garden one time so far, and the rain has kept most of the livestock's water tanks constantly filled. It's been quite nice, and the kids have had their fun with the rain too:

Homemade Bow Stand

Handy Husband and our 9 year old put their creative skills to work on a stand

for their bows and arrows. I think it came out pretty good!

Fun Filled Weekend

We finally had a weekend with no rain, and we took full advantage of it.

Here are some highlights from our fun times:

Fence Finally Finished!

We finished the front yard fence, and just have some painting left to do, and a couple of gates left to hang. So I guess it's not exactly finished yet, but it's very close. We love it so much! Not only does it give our kids a safer place to play, it's also very pretty.

 

Farm Updates, and NEW Chicks!

It's hard to believe that it's already May!

We've had some very busy months recently, but I am going to try and post some farm
updates in the upcoming days.  

For starters, we have some new chicks and ducklings, hatched from our incubator,
with our own eggs. The chicks are all barnyard variety, and the ducklings are Pekin/Cayuga mix.
