I love these old roses that have probably been growing for decades. I rarely do any pruning to them, and every year they are adorned with the most beautiful, fragrant roses.

The Boys' New Room
Since Daughter #2, 13, has moved in with her dad, we've been working on rearranging some bedrooms. The two boys, almost 9 and almost 7, will be moving into her old room upstairs, and the boys' old room will become Baby W and the new baby's room.
Above, we have most of Daughter #2's things moved out or packed up, and are beginning painting the ceiling. |
Ceiling is called Victorian Pewter, and we put it directly over the old, sky blue paint. The color turned out great! |
Above, Son #2, who is nearly 7, is a great painter and helped me with nearly every wall.
Son #1, nearly 9, helped with the first red wall and then lost interest. The red is called Red Gumball.
The boys did a great job picking out their room colors! They picked them out all by themselves and I think they did a fantastic job!
Starting the blue, called Suddenly Sapphire.
Our littlest helper, Baby W, had fun playing while we worked, and only occasionally put his hands in the wet paint.
It's coming along. All that's needed is the floor to be painted.
Handy Husband painted the floor a Dark Grey. The colors all came together perfectly!
We cut the boys' bunk beds apart so they could have their own beds.
They LOVE it so much!

It's a BOY!
We had our ultrasound done yesterday, at 21 weeks pregnant, and found out we're having another little boy! This will be handy husbands 2nd boy, and my 4th. We're excited and happy that Baby W will have a little brother to grow up with!

Half-way There!
I'm twenty weeks pregnant already. I can't believe how fast it seems to be going! Everything is going great. Baby's heart rate has been around 160 the last two months. Everyone seems to think this baby will be a little girl. All I can say is, "We'll see." And see we will, next Saturday, when we have our ultrasound.
And maybe I'll get around to posting some belly pictures soon.
A Little Dirt Never Hurt
What was going to be our storm shelter, has now turned into a fun play place for the boys. Unfortunately, the storm shelter project had to be put off until next year. But in the meantime, the dirt mounds will be put to good use.
